An Owl Story

Wow, an owl bit the old wet muddy tree.  He said "yuck" and spit out some bark.  So he went to visit his mouse friend named Mouse and said "hello Mouse, do you know of any good food nearby?"

And Mouse said "I like cheese, but I don't think you'll like it.  I know of a tree that keeps its leaves in fall."

"Please tell me where it is" begged Owl.

"Okay" said Mouse feeling very relieved.  "It's right over that hill."

"Thank you, thank you" hurried Owl.  And off he flew over to the tree that keeps its leaves all fall. When he arrived he tried some leaves and ... he liked them!

And he was very happy.

Yes, a muddy lizard swam suddenly on a wave.  But it got windy and the waves got too rough.  And he decided to swim to a nearby island.  It turned out that it was his home island.  All of his family yelled 'welcome home!" and the lizard was very happy.

Book Report on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

A Christmas Carol was written by Charles Dickens in 1843. This book is about a man named Scrooge who does not like anything about Christmas.

It starts when the ghost of his partner Marley tells him that three spirits (ghosts) will visit him and tell him what Christmas is about.  When the first ghost visits him it shows him Scrooge's past Christmas.  Then when the next ghost visits it shows him Christmas present.  Finally the third ghost shows him Christmas future. And then the last chapter shows what happens to Scrooge after his experience with the ghosts

And I like at the end where he finally truly understands and celebrates Christmas.
But I don't like how long the chapters are.  I would read it again.

We can buy less stuff, recycle more, build water pumps when there is a drought, provide disaster relief, grow food in poor countries, bring materials to build infrastructure in some countries, and give people an education.  We can tell the people who own big companies to pay their workers more, stop making stuff made to break, and stop making us want more and more stuff with advertisements.

The Frog‘s Big Road Trip

The fat frog ran quickly to Idaho.  But it began to rain and he said “I want to dry off.”
And he ran to Oregon, Michigan, New York, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, and finally Ontario and it was dry!  As soon as he was dry he jumped into the pond.  And he said “Ahh, that was a nice and tiring road trip.”

Review on Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, of 1809. One day he slipped from a log into the creek! But his friend helped him. And another day he got kicked by a horse! And when he moved to Illinois he became good with an ax. And one evening they found out that their cow got milk fever, and soon his mother got milk fever!


And when he grew up, he ran for the legislature and married Mary Todd.  He led the war and set slaves free!  And he won the race for the president.


We remember this person because he was a humble president.  He wrote the Gettysburg Address.  He led the United States in Civil War.  He set the slaves free!

A Wrinkle in Time book report

A Wrinkle in Time was written by Madeleine L' Engle.  This book is about children traveling in the fifth dimension. They travel to find their father who was lost in space. They go to a planet with a black thing and find their father. They see weird flying creatures and a man with red eyes. The movie was worse than I thought. I like the book very very very much!!!

The Rain Storm

Farmer Boy book report by Laura Ingalls Wilder Illustrated by Garth Williams

This book is about Almanzo who lived on a farm in the 1800s.


In chapter five Almanzo has his ninth birthday. In chapter sixteen Independence Day came.  That chapter is very interesting, but I can't tell you it because there is too much.


And in chapter eighteen Mom and Dad go on a trip and Eliza Jane, Alice, Royal, and Almanzo have the house all to themselves. And at the end of the book Almanzo gets a colt all for himself!!!!

My Garbage Dump Field Trip.

Today I went to the garbage dump for a field trip.

It was very fun we talked about what goes in the garbage or recycling.

We saw if a sweater, tricycle soda can, newspaper, and banana peel where garbage or waste.

We saw part of the recycling in action we went outside to have a look at the workers recycle.

 We watched a six minute video of  what we saw outside.

and at the end we saw a demonstration of a life cycle, and we split into groups and given items and we where asked to do a presentation of a life cycle.


That was my garbage dump field trip.

My new favorite sport is Football.

My favorite team is the Miami Dolphins.

Roblox is fun.

Our user name on Roblox is Hotwheels2009. We share an account.  I like to build and my brother likes to play other peoples games. We have lots of games on favorite and they are all very fun. We have a place that has a building on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We would love to build millions of places for you to play but our builders club expired.

I think this is how Roblox got its name. You make places on there and I think Roblox stands for Robotic blocks.

On Roblox you start with a character he starts with gray arms,legs,and head and a green torso. 

The Roblox Gear.

One day Friendly was doing an obstacle course on Roblox.  He met a player named Baddy at the lava jumps. Baddy lost his gear the last time he played an adventure game. 


"I want to go," shouted Friendly.


"Ok," said Baddy.  "But be careful."


 "I will," said Friendly.


 Friendly went to a place called Explore The World.  He got in a car and he didn't go very far before he found someone using gear. He saw the player playing a guitar but Friendly kept on going straight.  Before long he came to a cave. There was a talking brick at the entrance that said "the road leads in the cave."  


Friendly went in the cave.  It wasn't long before he came to the end. When he got to the end he was surprised there was a volcano in front of him. He got out of his car and climbed the volcano.  When he got to the top there was Baddy's gear.  Friendly picked up the gear.  But Friendly didn't know that Baddy was on the other side of the volcano. Then there was trouble.  There was smoke coming out of the volcano.  Friendly was running down the volcano, but the volcano was pouring lava. Friendly yelled ''Run with me! The volcano is going to erupt!'' 


Friendly and Baddy ran all the way back to the lava jumps. Friendly gave Baddy the gear, but Baddy said Friendly could keep the gear.  Baddy would buy more because Friendly saved him.  And from that day on Friendly didn't like volcanoes.

My favourite game to play on the computer is Roblox.  It is a free game online. If you don't have/or want an account you can always play as a guest.

Paddle-to-the-Sea written and illustrated by Holling Clancy Holling.

Paddle-to-the-Sea is about a little canoe named Paddle, carved by a young Indian boy.  Paddle makes a trip from Lake Superior to the Atlantic Ocean!  It went in a fire and a shipwreck!  I read this book for school.  I hope you will like it.
