Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, of 1809. One day he slipped from a log into the creek! But his friend helped him. And another day he got kicked by a horse! And when he moved to Illinois he became good with an ax. And one evening they found out that their cow got milk fever, and soon his mother got milk fever!
And when he grew up, he ran for the legislature and married Mary Todd. He led the war and set slaves free! And he won the race for the president.
We remember this person because he was a humble president. He wrote the Gettysburg Address. He led the United States in Civil War. He set the slaves free!

Hi Elijah, I'm very inspired by Abraham Lincoln's life story. He had a lot of difficult things happen to him but overcame them and achieved his goals. I think that is pretty amazing!
